Sad news: University student
commits suicide over school
fees
A 400-level student of Taraba State University was
reported to have committed suicide in Janligo.
The victim, Friday Samson was said to have taken his
own life by ingesting poison after a family
disagreement.
The incident was confirmed by the state Police Public
Relations Officer, PPRO, Joseph Kwaji, saying the
police are investigating the matter.

He said Samson, a student of
Mathematics, allegedly died after taking
a substance.
Kwaji said a suicide note was found in
the pocket of the deceased in which he
alleged that his sister had refused to pay
his school registration fees.
According to the note, the PPRO said,
Samson, 32, took the poison to express
his grievances over the alleged refusal
to pay the school fees.
